Therapy doesn’t need to be “one size fits all.”

Are you most comfortable in an office, in your home, or outside?

Let’s talk about the different options available, and find an approach that works best for you.

In Person

In person appointments are available Monday - Friday, between 9:30 AM and 2:30 PM. My office is located in the Crossbridge Wellness Affiliates office suite at 2000 S. Winton Rd, Building 4, Suite 200, in Brighton, NY.

Telehealth

I utilize Simple Practice for confidential and secure one-on-one video conferencing that is very easy to use. If you’re nervous about giving telehealth a try or are intimidated by technology, I’m happy to discuss further and walk you through the process.

Outdoors

I offer outdoor “walk & talk” sessions for existing clients. This means we meet outside and have a therapy session in an outdoor setting. If you have a favorite natural spot where you really feel a sense of peace, it might be a great place for us to have a session!

What about Theory?

Trust me, you don’t have to know this stuff. But if you find this interesting, by all means, read on! There are SO MANY theories out there that guide therapists. A few in particular have really shaped how I understand human suffering and the potential for change, which I’ve detailed below. Ultimately, know that I draw from a variety of traditions to best meet your individual needs and support your therapeutic goals.

Person-centered

I am grounded in a person-centered, humanistic tradition of psychotherapy. That means I believe the potential for change lies within every person. I will walk alongside you through the process of therapy but ultimately, YOU are the expert on you.

Trauma-informed

Being trauma-informed means being deeply aware of the impact trauma, of any kind, has on suffering and ability to cope. Your emotional and psychological safety is a priority. You will never be “forced” to discuss anything that you are not comfortable with, and we will always proceed at your pace.

Depth

Depth psychotherapy is based on the work of Carl Jung, and asks you to explore your unconscious mind in order to live a more authentic, integrated life. By exploring the dreams, images, stories, etc. that are meaningful to you, I invite you to explore your “shadow” side and get to know your true self.

Ecotherapy

Connecting with the natural world has the power to heal, inspire and soothe. Being in nature can be transformative, and offers unique opportunities for joy, awe and powerful “awakening experiences.”
